Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 9 October 2026
This policy sets out how TiklaWeb services (web hosting, servers, domains, email and other services) may be used and what is prohibited. It forms an integral part of the Terms of Service. Everyone who uses the Services is responsible for all content, users and software running under their account or server.
1. General Principle
The Services may be used only for lawful purposes. Use that violates the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, the applicable laws of other countries, the rights of third parties or public morals is prohibited. The fact that an activity is not expressly listed in this policy does not make it permitted.
2. Prohibited Content and Activities
2.1 Unlawful content
- Content that constitutes a crime, including child sexual abuse material, terrorist propaganda, obscenity, hate speech, incitement to violence or insult.
- Illegal trade and services such as illegal betting and gambling, drug trafficking, and sale of smuggled or counterfeit goods.
- Content and applications that collect, store or distribute personal data unlawfully.
2.2 Intellectual property infringement
- Warez, pirated software, unauthorised films, music or broadcasts, and unauthorised sharing of copyrighted images and text.
- Misleading use of another party’s trademark, logo or trade name.
- Use of unlicensed software or software with stolen licences.
2.3 Fraud and abuse
- Phishing, fake sites or pages, false identities, and misleading actions in the name of persons or institutions.
- Trade in products, parts and services bought or sold by fraud; financial fraud.
- Buying the Services with stolen cards, accounts or data.
2.4 Security violations and malware
- Hosting, distributing or controlling viruses, trojans, ransomware, botnets and other malware.
- Unauthorised use of DDoS, port scanning, brute-force, exploit and penetration tools.
- Unauthorised access to other accounts or systems; attempts to take over others’ credentials.
- Running open proxies, open mail relays, Tor exit nodes and similar services prone to abuse.
2.5 Unsolicited email (spam)
- Sending bulk commercial email or SMS without recipients’ consent; using purchased or harvested address lists.
- Hosting sites that send spam or support spam.
- Forging header information or hiding the sender.
2.6 Use that harms the infrastructure
- IRC servers, torrent trackers, cryptocurrency mining, and other applications that over-consume resources on shared hosting.
- Using hosting space for backup or file storage unrelated to a website.
- CPU, memory, I/O, process or disk usage that affects other customers’ services.
3. Email Use
- Bulk email may be sent only with recipients’ express consent and with an easy way to unsubscribe in each message.
- Hourly/daily sending limits are stated in the service plan; exceeding a limit may lead to temporary restriction of the account.
- The customer is responsible for ensuring their emails comply with commercial electronic message legislation.
4. Fair Use and Resources
Shared and reseller hosting accounts share server resources with other customers. Resources described as “unlimited” are subject to a fair-use principle. If an account’s resource use affects other accounts, TiklaWeb may first notify you and ask you to reduce usage, upgrade your plan or move to another server.
5. Security Responsibility
Keeping your CMS, plugins, themes and other software up to date, using strong passwords and protecting your credentials is your responsibility. If your account is taken over and abused, action may be taken under this policy even if you did not notice.
6. Reporting Abuse
If you notice content or activity that violates this policy, you can report it to info@tiklaweb.net. For copyright infringement reports, include information showing that you are the rights holder, the address (URL) of the infringing content and your contact details. Valid notices and decisions from competent authorities under Law No. 5651 are handled first.
7. Consequences of Violations
- Depending on the nature of the violation, a warning may be given or time may be allowed to fix the issue.
- Content may be removed or blocked; the account or server may be temporarily restricted or suspended.
- For serious and repeated violations, and where unlawfulness is clear, the service may be terminated without prior notice.
- For services terminated for just cause, the amount paid is not refunded and a backup of the infringing content may not be handed over.
- TiklaWeb cooperates with competent authorities within its legal obligations and may share necessary information.
8. Changes
This policy may be updated as legislation and our services change. The current version is published on this page and the “Last updated” date above will change.
