Cookie Policy
Last updated: 9 October 2026
This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on the tiklaweb.net website and Client Area, their purposes, and how you can manage your preferences. It is prepared under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 and Law No. 6563 on the Regulation of Electronic Commerce. For detailed information about the processing of personal data, see the Personal Data and Privacy Agreement.
1. What Is a Cookie?
Cookies are small text files saved on your device through your browser when you visit a website. They help the site remember you, work securely, and measure how it is used. Only the site or service provider that created a cookie can read it. Technologies such as browser storage (localStorage) may be used for similar purposes; in this text they are also called “cookies”.
2. Which Cookies Do We Use?
2.1 Strictly necessary cookies (no consent needed)
These are needed for the website and Client Area to work; if they are blocked, basic functions such as logging in, the cart and orders may not work.
- Session cookie: Keeps your session and security checks going once you log in. It usually stays until you close the browser or log out.
- ucid: Used to recognise your customer session and account identity securely.
- clang: Remembers your language choice (Turkish/English).
- cookie_pop_visited: Remembers that you have seen the cookie notice banner, so it does not appear again on every page.
- Cloudflare cookies (e.g. __cf_bm): Used for security and traffic management against bots and abuse. They are usually short-lived (about 30 minutes).
2.2 Functional and preference cookies
- header_type, clientArea_type: Remember your interface appearance and panel preferences.
2.3 Analytics and performance cookies (depend on your consent)
- Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*, _gid): Used to measure visitor numbers, page views, and the device and browser used, in anonymised/aggregated form. The _ga cookie is valid for about 2 years and the _gid cookie for about 24 hours. Your data is processed by Google LLC (USA).
- Browsing cookies (e.g. cookies prefixed kbv_, nv_, av_, rv_, pv_): Keep view records for pages such as knowledge base, news, articles and references, for example to avoid counting the same content repeatedly.
2.4 Marketing and third-party tool cookies (depend on your consent)
- Google tag (_gcl_au): May be set by Google’s tag infrastructure to link site visits to advertising conversions and measure them; valid for about 90 days. This cookie also depends on your consent.
- Affiliates: If you arrived through a partner/referral link, it temporarily stores this information so the referrer can be identified.
Apart from these, we do not use cookies of our own to show personalised advertising.
3. Why Do We Use Cookies?
- To run the website and Client Area and to keep your session and account secure,
- To remember your preferences (language, appearance),
- To measure site traffic and performance in order to improve the service,
- To prevent security threats and abuse.
4. Legal Basis and Consent
Strictly necessary cookies are used without asking for consent, as part of providing the service and for our legitimate interests. Non-essential cookies such as analytics and marketing rely on your explicit consent. You can state your preference in the cookie notice banner shown on your first visit; non-essential categories are unticked by default and a “Reject all” option is provided. You can change your preferences or withdraw your consent at any time through the “Cookie preferences” link at the very bottom of the site.
5. How to Manage or Delete Cookies
You can change your cookie preferences in your browser settings. Most browsers let you accept, refuse or delete cookies. If you block strictly necessary cookies, some parts of the site may not work.
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data.
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari: Settings/Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
You can also prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data with Google’s browser add-on (“Google Analytics opt-out add-on”).
6. Third-Party Cookies and Data Transfer
Cookies from Google (Analytics) and Cloudflare (security/CDN) are subject to those providers’ own privacy policies, and your data may be transferred to servers abroad. Information about these transfers is in the Personal Data and Privacy Agreement.
7. Changes and Contact
This policy may be updated as the cookies we use or the legislation change. The current version is published on this page. For questions you can write to info@tiklaweb.net.
