Creating an email account with your own domain
An address such as info@yourcompany.com builds trust in your business. For that you need an email service tied to your domain.
Before you start
- Make sure the MX record in your domain DNS settings points to your email service.
- Check how many email accounts your plan includes.
Steps (hosting control panel)
- Open the email section in the panel.
- Create a new email address and type the name (for example info).
- Set a strong password: a mix of letters, digits and symbols.
- Set the mailbox size if needed and save.
- Sign in through webmail and send and receive a test email.
Good practice
- Use general addresses (info, support, sales) and personal addresses (name@).
- Create a separate account for each employee instead of sharing a password.
- Add SPF, DKIM and DMARC records so that your emails do not land in spam.
